Clear skies and dry conditions for Brevard County. Frontal boundary and associated clouds and rain have cleared the state leaving behind high pressure and mostly sunny conditions for Sunday and most of the upcoming week. There is a Moderate Risk of Rip Currents if venturing to the beach so use caution.

Large area of rain approaching Brevard. A large area of showers and embedded thunderstorms are quickly approaching Brevard County. Expect moderate to heavy rain and occasional lightning strike any time after 10:00 AM and lasting well into the afternoon hours.  

Large area of heavy rain moving over the west coast this morning will quickly travel and spread eastward towards Brevard County. This area of rain should reach Brevard by late morning and early afternoon hours. Excessive rainfall and frequent lightning can be expected.

Slow eastward moving frontal boundary and line of showers and thunderstorms located along I-4 will provide the focus for heavy rains across Brevard County later this afternoon and evening. Showers and thunderstorms will increase in coverage and impact Brevard County later this afternoon and evening. The combination of an increasingly unstable atmosphere along the east coast sea breeze will result in shower and thunderstorm development through the early afternoon hours. Additional stronger thunderstorms will develop as the west and east coast sea breezes collide over the central peninsula. All activity will travel south-southwest to north-northeast or back towards Brevard County, especially areas north of Patrick AFB. Expect heavy rain, excessive lightning, and high winds with the stronger thunderstorms.
