Brevard County- April 30th, 2014

Showers and thunderstorms will increase in coverage and impact Brevard County later this afternoon and evening.  The combination of an increasingly unstable atmosphere along the east coast sea breeze will result in shower and thunderstorm development through the early afternoon hours.  Additional stronger thunderstorms will develop as the west and east coast sea breezes collide over the central peninsula.  All activity will travel south-southwest to north-northeast or back towards Brevard County, especially areas north of Patrick AFB.  Expect heavy rain, excessive lightning, and high winds with the stronger thunderstorms.
