Dr. Phillips Center inaugural 2014-2015 Broadway season lineup

The new Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts is expected to open this November, and earlier this week, Florida Theatrical Association announced the inaugural 2014-2015 Broadway season lineup.  The association presents the series with the Dr. Phillips Center.

The season includes old favorites like “The Phantom of the Opera”, “Newsies,” the smash hit musical from Disney, and the record-breaking sensation “Motown the Musical.” Rounding out the 2014-2015 season are the brand new, high-flying production of “Pippin,” the Tony Award-winning revival of “Anything Goes,” and the hilariously charming “I Love Lucy Live on Stage.”

Back by popular demand, the 2014-2015 season will also offer two highly sought-after season specials: Following a record-breaking run, the Broadway phenomenon “The Book of Mormon” will return for a limited engagement, and the beloved tale of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast.”

Season tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at www.OrlandoBroadway.com, by calling 1-800-448-6322 (M – F, 10a.m. – 5p.m.), or in person at 100 S. Eola Drive, Suite 101, Orlando, Fla. 32801 (M – F, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.).    Prices for the six-show season start at $219, depending on performance time, day of week and seating location selected.

All shows will be performed in the Walt Disney Hall at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.  Current season ticket holders should expect their renewal packets to arrive via USPS no later than April 1.  Tickets to individual shows in the 2014-2015 Season are not available for purchase at this time.
