Cocoa police officer arrested on DUI charges
A Cocoa police officer is accused of driving drunk and speeding.
Rockledge police said they spotted Benjamin Erskine going 85 miles per hour on U.S. 1 near Coral Sands Drive in February.
Officers said when they stopped him, Erskine smelled like alcohol and was slurring his words. He was off duty at the time.
Erskine was fired from the Cocoa Police Department following his arrest.
