BAREFOOT BAY, Fla. —Less than 12 hours after a bank robbery Friday, Brevard County deputies captured a suspect in another county.

Authorities with the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office said Dennis Leo Foster, 50, of Barefoot Bay, is accused of robbing the First United Bank in his hometown just before noon Friday.

After viewing surveillance video of the holdup, investigators identified Foster and issued a news release with his photo, which led them to a hotel in Indian River County.

Deputies from Brevard and Indian River counties arrested Foster without incident about 11 p.m. Friday. He was booked into the Indian River County Jail and charged with armed robbery. His bond was set at $250,000.

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office said Foster is awaiting extradition to Brevard County.
