TITUSVILLE —
On Saturday, May 4, Titusville Police responded to an allegation of inappropriate activity involving a child less than twelve years of age.
The investigation has led to the arrest of 22-year old Devin Patrick Okeefe, Titusville.
Okeefe has been charged with sexual battery on a child under the age of 12, which is a capital felony.
Okeefe has been booked into the Brevard County Jail. The investigation is still ongoing.

MELBOURNE —
High school sports history has been made in Brevard County.
Both rowing teams at Melbourne High School qualified for the National Scholastic Rowing Association Championships, which are set to take place May 22, in New Jersey.
The boys and girls teams qualified in April — marking the first time in school history that both teams qualified in the same year.
But, there’s one big problem: The teams have to pay their own way.
Sending the 10-member team and coaches via plane, plus shipping two 25-foot boats and equipment, lodging and meals, will cost them about $12,000…

DAYTONA BEACH —
Investigators with the Daytona Beach Police Department arrested a man on charges related to child pornography on Wednesday, April 30.
Police were following up on an online investigation and tracking the IP address of the suspect, William Wiese, 24, to his residence in Daytona Beach.
Police briefly interviewed Wiese’s roommates, and according to the police report, when investigators interviewed Wiese, he admitted to investigators that he had downloaded child pornography, that he had been doing so for almost a decade as well as the keywords and software he uses in searches…

OCALA, Fla. – OCALA, Fla. – The third pedestrian involved in the fatal Interstate 75 crash that occurred on Saturday has died, according to Florida Highway Patrol.According to a report, 52-year-old George R. Phillips, of Ocala, succumbed to his injuries Saturday night at Ocala Regional Medical Center. Investigators are currently reviewing physical evidence and witness statements of the crash. Charges of the driver in the crash depend on the traffic homicide investigation, which could take several months.The crash also involved the death of two other pedestrians.
