The Atlas V launch scheduled for Tuesday at noon has been delayed due to a range instrumentation outage, the United States Air Force said Monday night.
The United Launch Alliance Atlas V was scheduled to carry the National Reconnaissance Office payload, which was one of three missions planned for 2014.

Officials said they experienced an issue with a mandatory range asset, which was needed for the launch.
Officials are investigating the extent of repairs needed.
The earliest the launch could be rescheduled for is Wednesday, but officials have not set a new launch date.
