Jonathan Tyler Prive, 25, of West Melbourne was arraigned today in federal court in Orlando on charges related to child exploitation.
Prive was charged with one count of online enticement of a minor and one count of attempted online enticement of a minor, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida.
The indictment alleges Prive used a means of interstate commerce to induce and coerce the minor into engaging in illegal sexual activity in September and November of 2013.
If convicted, Prive faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years’ imprisonment and up to life in prison.
Prive also faces four charges in Brevard County circuit court, according to the Brevard County Clerk of Courts records: Two charges of sexual battery of a minor, one of traveling to meet a minor after luring with a computer and one of lewd molestation of victim under 12.
