Hamilton and Amado Contreras were walking when Hamilton implied he had a gun and Amado Contreras said “put the gun away and fight,” the report said.

The pair were still arguing when Amado Contreras and his brother, Landyer Contreras, “advanced toward” Hamilton, who responded by hitting Amado with half of a pool cue, the report said.

The three continued fighting and at one point Hamilton pulled a Taurus 357 and shot Amado in the chest, the report said.

Landyer then grabbed the gun and pistol-whipped Hamilton with it, the report said. Contreras is charged with aggravated battery and disorderly conduct. He is in the Brevard County Jail.

Police have brought no charges against Hamilton for allegedly firing the shot.

Hamilton and Amado Contreras were charged with disorderly conduct.
