High honors for some Melbourne firefighters for saving the life of a disabled man in a January fire.
In recognition for their heroism in saving the life of a disabled man from a January fire, the Melbourne Fire Department presented a Unit Citation to the Station 75 Engine Crew Thursday.
The Station 75 crew responded to a townhome fire on January 4 where a disabled man was trapped on the second floor outside the room on fire. Two firefighters, Jeff Marcan and Kevin Hardy, went inside the burning building and pulled him to safety while Roger Van Cramer and Dan Morton put out the flames.
