Letter: Kudos to EDC’s ‘Made in Brevard campaign

From 3-D printing to custom tool and die machining, from cups and other promotional goods to wooden blocks for learning math and even the Bat Mobile, it was great to see the array of products that are made on the Space Coast.These items and my company’s custom, vacuum-formed, plastic products were on display last month as part of the Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast’s Investor Update meeting, where the exciting Made in Brevard campaign was spotlighted. Made in Brevard is yet another creative way the EDC is helping to bring attention and innovation to our local economy.

We worked with the EDC in 2012 as part of our expansion in Cocoa, so we knew about its key role in traditional economic development. What Made in Brevard has shown us is how this organization, working in concert with the county’s four primary chambers of commerce, can develop new programs that strengthen our economy from within.

With the rise in popularity of Made-in-America products, it is refreshing to be a part of a campaign that fosters that unique sense of pride on the Space Coast, while also highlighting a wonderful variety of products and the companies behind them.

Together, we are all building a better Brevard.
