Police in Holly Hill say they have located a missing teenager who left work Tuesday night and disappeared.
Linsey Harbuck, 16, was found safe at a shelter in Polk County. She left her job at a Winn Dixie Tuesday night about 8 p.m. planning to ride her bike to Lakeland to visit a boyfriend she met online.
Police say the 21-year-old boyfriend cooperated with the investigation and said he hadn’t seen, who he claims he’s met just once.
Officials said Harbuck took a bus to Lakeland but did not go to the boyfriend’s house and rather checked into a shelter. They are working to find out why.
