‘Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade’ debuts at Magic Kingdom

Walt Disney World Resort is debuting a new parade at the New Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom. 

Making its debut this week, the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade is the first brand new parade Disney has had in 13 years.  The procession features nearly 100 performers and Disney characters, with floats specifically telling the stories of “Tangled,” “Peter Pan,” “Brave,” “Sleeping Beauty” and many more.

The floats are bigger and better than ever.  Described as “mini Broadway sets,” as each float rolls by, you’ll hear a new and different Disney song with a twist. 

The music isn’t the only thing exciting the crowd, the costumes are turning heads. There are definitely some crowd favorites, like the Sassy Bubble Girls with cotton candy hair but don’t fret, your favorite classic Disney friends will also make their Fantasyland parade debut along with some new show stoppers like the fire-breathing Maleficent dragon who comes to life.

Disney’s creative show director couldn’t be more proud saying, “New floats, new costumes, new sound track audio system…it’s really a state of the art parade.”
