Two cousins accused of sexually assaulting three girls

Two men are in the Seminole County Jail, accused of molesting at least three girls under the age of twelve.  Detectives believe there could be other victims.   

The suspects are Julio Hernandez-Rodriguez, 28, and Marcos Maceira-Ramos, 22.

The two men are cousins, and according to Altamonte Springs Police Department public information officer Robert Pelton, the both worked together in some cases to abuse the alleged victims.

Police say Hernandez-Rodriguez is related to one of the victims.

The other victims are acquaintances of the girl who is related to Hernandez-Rodriguez, Pelton said.  

According to a police report, one of the victims reported the abuse to a school resources officer at her elementary school on Friday.  Pelton said the investigation yielded a list of potential victims.  

“Based on the interviews we’ve done with the victims we have so far, they’ve provided some additional information and some other names that we’re looking into contacting so right now we have those three confirmed but the investigation is still ongoing,” Pelton said.  

Both men are being held in the Seminole County Jail without bond.  Police say more charges are coming.  Pelton said officers want parents to talk to their kids if they recognize the men.
