Space Coast tourism agencies get extra funds for over-budget Asia trip
The Brevard County Commission this morning approved a budget change to help fund a recent $34,000 trip by four representatives of Brevard County’s tourism and economic development agencies to Asia.
The Brevard County Commission this morning approved a budget change to help fund a recent $34,000 trip by four representatives of Brevard County’s tourism and economic development agencies to Asia.
The trip focused on attracting tourism and business development to Brevard County.The Space Coast Office of Tourism asked the Brevard County Commission to authorize the overrun from the original budgeted amount of $20,000.Commissioner Trudie Infantini voted against the proposal because she questioned details on some of the expenses.
The 10-day trip centered on the Singapore Air Show. The local contingent also stopped in Hong Kong and Guangzhou, China.
